On 12/18 while shopping on the website of Buy Rite Video, I put in an order for two video games; X Men and Lord of The Rings. After I placed my order, a message popped up on the order screen which stated that the Lord of The Rings video was out of stock. However, when I placed the order there was no indication of the item being on back order. Therefore, I e-mailed Customer Service at Buy Rite Video to cancel that video game since it would not arrive in time for Christmas.
There was no telephone number to contact Buy Rite Video on the customer service e-mail form page. I e-mailed Buy Rite Video that day and subsequently since I received e-mails from them in reference to sending me the back ordered item and the other item that I ordered. The e-mail was automated.
When I tried to respond to it to correct their mistake and tell them not to send the back ordered video the e-mail was sent back to me saying that it was an automated e-mail and my order will be sent shortly. I went back on Buy Rite Video's website again to e-mail through the customer service e-mail form, but after all of my e-mails (the only way to contact this merchant) I have received no responses whatsoever. However, my credit card was charged for the item $52.94 and I received the video game shortly thereafter (after Christmas as promised). Since I had made sure to contact this merchant
I was not happy to see that the company went ahead and billed my credit card without my authorization. I received the video game weeks after Christmas, and returned it to Buy Rite Video at the address listed on the package. This was the next day. I was unable to contact any live person nor did I receive a response to my e-mails so I was unable to get a return label or anything of that sort. This merchant seems to be in the business of not being available to it's customers in a service oriented manner.
They make it impossible to correct orders. Presently, I am unable to access the website of Buy Rite Video. It won't come up. Additionally, when I did e-mail this company I was not able to access their actual e-mail address since e-mail is sent to this company through a form.
I still haven't heard anything from this merchant and I'm attempting to resolve this unauthorized charge through my bank, but it's going to be difficult since I have no record of my e-mails to Buy Rite Video on account of the form e-mails that this company uses. This company is not in the customer service business.
