which is what i was looking for. When the salesman said to me "you know we are not an authorized sony dealership. And why did i want a sony 52xbr5
what are you trying to say, i asked, well this week sony came out with the w4100 series for a lot less money and it is equal in every way to the xbr5
for a lot less money (too good to be true i thought) this model however the salesman would sell it to me thru their retail store thereby making this an authorized sony sale so i asked a really dumb question. Why can't you do the same with the xbr5. Silence then pitch #7 well for 2900.00 i can sell you an xbr5 plus delivery of approx 300.00. But you can have the w4100 with the pk kit and free delivery for 2739.00 ahh! O whats a pk kit. Well the salesman said you get a very cool stand (one like in your site that the tv can sit on and have room for other components) exactly said the sales guy also you get hdmi cables and a up link card of some sort that made everythig perfect for receiving different signals. After looking at the stands that were available, which i indeed had planned to buy too set the tv on and finding out how much hdmi cables cost figuring that i woud receive 3 of them it seemed like a fair deal, received the tv 9 weeks later after i was told it was shipped the day after i bought it. The tv was un crated and i was looking for the stand figuring i would have to put it together, i called the salesmen and he told me the stand was attatched to the tv and thats the one for the pk kit. Thats it this jive piece of plastic screwed to the bottom of the set, yes he said where are my cables? Oh they come seperately which it did a few days later i did say it and not them there was just one cable sent. I called the salesman again and said are you kidding with this pk crap some magic card in the tv that by the way is not an extra they all have it a plastic stand worth nothing and a cable /??? This is the pro kit /??? He said yes. I said this is a rip off let me speak to someone else., he turned me over to this gal and she reitterated what he had said was the pk kit. Frustrated i hung up. 3to4 days later i got a call and the person said they were sending me the proper stand. When i received it it turned out to be the cheapest wall mount bracket you could imagine. I gave up until i found this site. But know that i have read some others comments i wonder if my w4100 is new or used. My next sony is certainly not coming from these bozos
