I received a response to a resume I posted at jobing from The Ad Group. They called and arranged an interview for the next day. I was on time and dressed accordingly. They gave me a basic application with some personal questions.
During the interview, they paid little attention to my application and we engaged in a peculiar amount of small talk. When I asked exactly what the job description was, the gentlemen harshly referred back the website. I had seen the website and was still puzzled. He said that I would work in sales, representing other companies and eventually manage my own office.
I left feeling good and wondering if I'd be approved for the second interview (turns out, everyone is). Sure enough, that same day, I was invited to come back the following work day for an introduction / second interview.
At this point I smelled something fishy. A friend suggested I should be cautious. I started doing research and found this site. Apparently I saved myself a long, disappointing day of door to door sales only to (eventually) find that it's a commission based job. I wrote them a strong worded email and cancelled my, so called, second interview. From now on, I will research every business before interviewing. I'm a single parent who doesn't have time to throw away to some pyramid scheme. Thank You, rip off report.
