For Christmas, my kids chipped in and bought me tickets from Stubhub to see The Cure in Boston this May. It was a big deal for them. They bought two seats and paid $200.
The tickets came today, but they were actually 2 seats for $48.50 a piece. I called Stubhub because I thought there was a mistake — no mistake. This is what Stubhub does and they don't see anything particularly wrong with selling things that are marked up 100 percent. They kept insisting they were owned by eBay — in fact, they asked in a complete snark fashion if I had ever heard of eBay.
We'll still see the show, but someone should do something about Stubhub.
