I recently watched the movie Meet John Doe at home, viewing it on a DVD disk. As the disk began to play I immediately noticed the incredibly poor quality... Image over-exposed, sound dropped in and out, etc. But, then I saw something very familiar, but never on a DVD... It was a tape warp—it's a kind of odd roll that signals a very bad videotape.
Somehow, Education 2000 inc. Had managed to dub over a very, very, very poor VHS copy of the film to dvd., then was selling that trash for 12.95 on their site.
I don't know if this company is circumventing the copyright laws... But, they've got to be doing something wrong.
