I was completely stunned to receive a recent e-mail stating that my account with Entertainment Awards was closing due to their inability to bill my account - I didn't even know I had an account! Thinking this was related to recent charges made fraudulently on my credit card I called and was informed that I had been charge $7 for the past 2 years for services I didn't know anything about!
Apparently when I had used ticketmasters services 2 years ago they gad automatically signed me up and started billing me - I never noticed the charges because they were coming from my debit account where I have hundreds of charges a month. I would never have noticed a charge so small amongst all the other charges.
When I called the company and explained that I hadn't ever signed up for their services and that I would like my $168 returned they said that they could only refund me for the past 3 months - they keep $147 for absolutely nothing - no services were ever received.
This scam run by entertainment rewards and ticketmaster has apparently gotten a lot of people to pay a lot of money for nothing. They don't send you monthly notifications of the withdrawals and if you don't know anything about it any e-mail sent will look like spam. Ticketmaster and Entertainment Rewards should be prosecuted for credit card fraud!
