Like many others have reported, I recently started seeing a $9.00 charge on my credit card. Based on information on this site and others, I discovered that this was due to purchases made through Ticketmaster.
Got Enternaintment Reward's phone number through my bank, and was able to get through without too much trouble (had to wade through several layers of phone menus, and basically ignored the options provided, pressing zero or waiting, and eventually talked to a real person). Their rep started explaining why I was getting charged, which has already been reported on this site. I explained that I already knew this, but that we had not authorized the charges. He agreed to cancel the "service."
I probably should have pushed for refunds, but since my bank already agreed to credit my account for the total amount, I let it go. However, I did send an email to Ticketmaster letting them know that I do NOT intend to use their service anymore, unless they can convince me it's safe.
It's amazing to me that companies today think they can get away with this sort of thing. Maybe there are enough folks not on the web that just pay the $9.00 because they don't understand it's a scam.
