I purchased tickets for a concert in October. Thirty days later, and every 30 days following I received charges to my checking account. Only through internet searches was I able to find out about this scam.
Online Ticketmaster purchases are subject to "Entertainment Rewards." You are able to receive coupons for stores, restaurants, etc. However, even if you do not agree to this (which I know I did not) you are charged $9 within 30 days of your purchase, unless you cancel.
Upon calling the phone number for cancelling the program you have 2 options: press 1 for information on your account or press 2 to cancel your account. Well, I pressed 2 and it hung up on me. I tried this 3 times, and finally had to press 1 instead to talk to a human. Does this make sense?
What perplexes me most is that if I had agreed to this program, why have I never received a reward? I never was sent any coupons or sent any type of confirmation that I was in the program.
