On the 6th October I was looking for past examination papers on a site [URL Removed] which advertised on Google. Accessing this site they asked me to become a member for FREE for 5 days. I have tried before to download these particular examination papers, but stopped short of becoming a member. This time I believed the that it was free and provided my Credit card number "to assess which country you are in"
Immediately, R10.06 was deducted from my account. I tried to contact the webmaster, but nothing was going through and I could not download the question papers either.
I copied the relevant documents and saved them and then had nothing to do with them again. Yesterday, the 10th October, the 5 day FREE trial period expired. Today, 11th October someone fraudelently withdrew R249.-14 from my Standard Bank account at 07h40.
Standard Bank call centre closes at 18h00 so I could not query the transaction, but I will open a case tomorrow with the Division of Standard Bank and blacklist this website. Please be warned that this site is suspect.
