Overpriced food at the movie theaters. This complaint is aimed at the entire movie theater industry and not at just this location. Why do they charge so much for pop and popcorn and other food at theaters??? They know people want something to eat while they watch a movie so they gouge people. Why pay $4 to $8 for a cup of pop and $5 to $12 for popcorn? $4.25 for a box of candy that walmart sells for 75 to 99 cents for the exact same size box of candy.
You would think they are making enough off the price of the ticket to see the movie that they would not have to gouge people for the food they sell.
My response, just take your own food, they do not have any signs up at any theater that I have been to that says you cannot take in your own food. There are no laws refraining from people taking their own food into a place like a theater if no signs are posted.
Eat before you go see a movie or else just take your own food in with you. You can buy the boxes of candy at any walmart for 99 cents at the most and take in cans of pop with you in your coat pockets. With the economy the way it is why let places gouge people on things like food??
