In March, I paid approximately $8500 for a brand new A/C unit. I experienced nothing but headaches. First, they ordered the wrong size. They installed window units while waiting for the new unit. Second, the SC contractor installed the wrong unit and mismatched parts. Third, coils were not the right fit for the unit and was held together with tape ONLY. Fourth, instead of saving money, our bill doubled. Fifth, Calling a customer service was a nightmare. Sixth, it is now September and we have paid for 2 service repair at $120 a visit=$240.
I could go on; however, I would need a book. My best advise, make sure you match up the model and serial numbers on the start up sheet with the actual unit and parts installed.
I do not recommend a Sears Home Improvement to any of my friends or family. If you need to contact me, [email protected]. I can discuss further.
