I called my nearest Pella Windows dealer to order 2 replacement screens for 1998 model Pella windows. The gala nswering the phone transferred me to the parts department, where i went into voicemail and left a message. 2 hours later, I received a call from Gunton Corp. (in Bedford Heights, OH-the parts supplier). The customer servicer eps tarted out with a rude tone, which I quickly called him on. Well, the conversation didn't go smoothly-I was lucky to get prices and to place the order. When I asked for an order number, estimated lead time, shippingme thod, etc., I was abruptly told that Iw ould get an email with all the info I needed. That was 4 days ago. My calls either get "disconnected"or I go into the hold queue for long periods. Myema ils have not been answered and I'm reallyg etting fed up. Does customer service exist for past Pella customers? Past customer is key here... After these screens are here, my new windows will NOT be Pella products. I still believe that customer service should exist before, during, and after a purchase. Unfortunately, Pella and it's affiliated distributor, Gunton Corporation of Bedford Heights, OH seem oblivious to basic tenets of customer service. Shame on them... Buyers beware!
