I purchased an ECMO 400 series door from Home Depot. While I love the look of the door I have had major problems with the handle set. It has broken 4 times in the exact same spot. 3 out of 4 times it has not been under warranty so I have had to purchase a new handle which costs $60. The door cost around $300 so you see my original hesitation to just replace the door. The handle set is designed to depend on a tiny pin connected between the door handle and the part that goes into the wall to latch the door. Everytime this pin has failed and broke off. I call customer service and while usually the person who I speak with is very friendly there is nothing they can do for me except take my credit card number and send me the new handle. I would advise anyone looking at a storm door carefully examine the latch set and consider one that is just the simple generic type that the low end screen doors have on them. I know those don't fail like this.
