Deposit Refund

I gave a deposit of $300 to the Caribbean Isle Apts. I was not shown the apt. I was to rent until 8 days later. The apt, was dirty and not fit for occupancy. They would not refund my deposit, as promised since they claimed the 3 day cancellation had expired. The viewing which they delayed, I feel invalidated the contract.
