I am a professional painter with 4o years experience. I have served five different Certapro franchises. I cant say if I know of one owner that has painting experience before obtaining a franchise. Most of my experiences have been good. However two went under and I was the last man out. One was taken over by the former owner. I can tell you that they do have some good painters. I have hundreds of top notch reviews on my jobs with copies to prove it! I also know that some painters are not so good. I cleaned up a few. I left the last franchise because of certain situations That I will keep private. The franchises are separate entities and are run by individuals just like you and I. They can only be as good as the worst link. Will I go back? What for? My suggestion would be find a smaller company where the owner swings a brush or has done so. Just my point of view. When I started business in 1976 a handshake was good enough for me. It still is.
