Jim Wagner, Home Inspector, for Pillar to Post came to our home on. Over the course of the following 5 months we have had major structural issues that should have been identified in your inspection. There is extensive rotting of the wood floor in the family room and in the support beams under the floor. A damaged sliding door, clearly visible appears to be the initiating problem. Other issues: The light pillar at the bottom of the driveway was not working at the time of inspection. The Jacuzzi in the master bath has a constant drip, this was present at the time of the inspection. Several central vac wall connections do not work. Ceiling in kitchen leaks. Mr. Wagner came to our home in May, he indicated that he was negligent in finding the issue with the light pillar. He offered me $1000 as a settlement. We anticipate the total repair cost for just the pillar, sliding door replacemet, floor replacement and beam replacement to be about $8500. We asked that Mr. Wagner submit our claim to his insurance company which he refused to do.
Now, Mr. Wagner has come back and said that he did nothing wrong. How is that possible when he admitted to missing things and offered us $1000 a few months ago!
I am outraged by Mr. Wagner's inability to do an adequate inspection of our home, his lack of accountability and dishonesty!
