Shaun Altenburg contracted to build a truss roof on my flat roof home. He represented himself as a registered contractor that was both insured and bonded. Based on his representation he installed a new roof on my house in September. He charged me $6875. He executed a written warranty for 7 year warranty on labor and a 30 year warranty on the material. He said that he would supply me with the warranty card from Firestone and never did, but I do have a copy of his written warranty. He was suppose to install a gabled roof and apply Firestone roofing over it. The roof was never gabled as his drawings and estimate showed. The roof now leaks considerably worse than the old one. I now have leeks where I didn't before. The water damage is considerable. Shaun Altenberg has failed to answer uncountable phone calls, and letters. Firestone officials have informed me that he is not an installer for Firestone and there is no warranty on their product unless it is installed by a certified installer. Mr. Altenburg has done many roofing jobs in the surrounding area most of which are having similar problems. Can you provide me with the state and federal agencies I need to file criminal complaints with. I am a senior citizen and have really been taken advantage of.
