Hello, im not sure if this is who i need to talk with about my complaint but it needs to get resolved fast. My roomate and I both have a 2 bed 1ba loft for the housing guidline price of $650.00 per mo. Back in Nov we both lost our jobs due to the economy being the way it is, but both started new jobs in Dec with me working 2. We had always paid our rent on time up unitl Nov when we got behind, trying to inform the landlord that we were attempting and making payments i tried and tried to get in contact with Lori the landlod. After not ever receiving calls back or any answers i called again, finally got a call back with a nasty voicemail stating that they are not required to call us back! It is now Feb and we are still are one month behind on our rent still making continous payments we recieved a letter from their attorney stating we owe 2,000. I called the office that sent the letter to see why we owe that amount and got no answeres from the rude woman i spoke with, was told to contact my landlord. Once again trying to get in contact with my landlord to see why we owe this amount she will not answer the phone. I would come down and talk to her but i work during the day ive tried to meet them before 5 to speak with her and they leave early. Now being in Feburary we got served papers with a court date for Feb 18th, i understand that we owe money and we are catching up, but there are also amounts on the letter that we do not owe. I finally spoke with the landlord last mon by having my boyfriend physically go down to her office and put the phone to her ear so i could talk, i requestd a detail of what she is saying we owe and a week later we still do not have any documentation of what is going on. Please advise im lost on what to do!
