If you use these guys, be sure

If you use these guys, be sure to double-check everything. I was admittedly inexperienced in the loan process, however was unmistakably mislead by this company.
We have two kids and a mortgage... We needed a debt consolidation loan and we needed it badly.
Their rep spoke over us when we tried to call him with questions, essentially drowning us in words until we were so mystified that we allowed him to end the call.
We did manage to get the loan documents, which reflected what we'd spoken to them about (and our financial situation left us no choice), so we trusted them.
Because of their lack of proactive communication when they needed something, the loan was delayed by weeks.
They wanted a $350 app fee, and we were told that they'd 'hold' it until our payday... Needless to say, they didn't, and we ended up paying several hundred dollars in fees to our bank and borrowing money for diapers... FMC only reimbursed us once we made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
They really kept us dangling until we were having Ramen noodles for dinner every night...
Of course they offer you the right to a lawyer, but if one is in debt consolidation, how were we going to pay for that? So, the man came to our house, we signed the papers, and that was that... EXCEPT that they'd elected not to include our largest and most costly debts in the paperwork.

When we called them, angry, they told us that it was too late, the right of rescission had passed. They told us that they had elected to change our plans based on the fact that the appraisal had come in lower than expected (which was not true, since they told us it needed to appraise for a specific amount, and the man called us back completely excited because the appraiser had agreed to that amount). They acknowledged verbally that they had not told us that they'd changed the paperwork. They apologized for not telling us that they'd changed all of our loan agreements, but then scoffed at us for not noticing before we signed the docs (which, by the way, were completely consistent until the day of signing, when the 'revised' version was handed to us for signature).
These people prey on people who are in desperate financial situations and they will pull the wool over your eyes if you will let them. Be careful.
