I purchased 3 Ronbow undermount sinks from this company in December. Had a bit of a wait for the sinks but they arrived individually packed and in good condition so no problem there. My installer finally installed them about 3 weeks ago and that's when the problem hit! 2 of the sinks were installed in the same bathroom, side by side but one was not as white as the other. It had been about 3 hours since they had been installed and I saw them for the first time and noticed the color difference. My installer tried to remove the less than white sink but because it had been essentially glued to my new granite countertop, he said it would be almost impossible to remove the sink without breaking it. I contacted Ronbow the sink manufacturer, explained the situation, they told me I just needed to send pictures of the sinks to the supplier and the sink would be replaced no questions asked. After several calls and no return call from Decorglamour I was finally able to get in touch with a Michelle who told me to send them the pictures and they would consider what they would do. After several days I received an email from an Evette asking who I spoke with at Ronbow, the sink manufacturers. I didn't know. Today I received another email from Evette stating "Okay I have been advised by Ronbow if you want to a new sink you have to send the old sink back UNDAMAGED!"
Neither the sink manufacturer nor the distributor apparently checked these sinks prior to send out. I feel they should accept responsibility for the poor quality of the product they sold and should now replace and it should be at their expense not mine. This should include removing the sink that is now an eyesore and shipping of any remaining pieces of the sink back to Ronbow, if they insisted that they want it returned, once it is removed and for any damage to the granite countertop should there be any during removal of the discolored sink. It is unfortunate that this problem is not resolved by now as I would have love to be able to refer these 2 companies to all my contractor friends and home improvement enthusiasts guess that's not going to happen!
