Complaint / Review
American Red Cross

Here is what disturbs us at the consumer complaints about the way the American Red Cross does business, generally:

Traditionally, the President of the United States of America serves as the Honorary Chairman of the American Red Cross. He in turn appoints eight member of the Board of Governors, one of which he designates as the Chairman of the American Red Cross. Despite these appointments, there are several other discretionary positions that the Red Cross can fill. These positions are paid positions. Typically, a substantial donation to the Red Cross is followed by an appointment to one of these positions. We predict that Mrs. Cheney will get an appointment to the Red Cross. Maybe not this year or next year, but soon. I would commend to her not to get sullied by the flow of scum that transits the organization. Hell, insurance salesmen are usually on their board!

Additionally, now that the Red Cross has all this money "donated for the 9-11 victims, " which they have decided to keep, they are now about taking care of business, finances and each other, instead of the work of compassion as they purport. This is an appeal to the US President, as Honorary Chairman, to clean up this mess and see that people get taken care of. If you want to set an example to the rest of the world, what we are made of, then let's head for higher ground and rein in this out-of-control organization.
