On Jan I was ran over by a vehicle at school parking lot and I was taken to the hospital by ambulance, at that time I was 7 1/2 months pregnant. The person driving the vehicle stated to me that she was running late to drop off her dauthter and before she knew it she had bumped me with her front left bumper of her Tahoe. She said she would pay for hospital and doctors visit. When the Spring Branch police offecer, Jarvis Gambrell showed up he only took the person at fault statement and the principals statements. The principal was not there and was not a witness. He did not even ask me for my statement or the other 2 witness statements. The insurance denied my claim based on the police report and said that I had to file my hospital bills with my own insurance. Later on I went to file a complaint for inaccurate police report on officer Jarvis Gambrell and was treated very rude by his superior Mike Fleming. He said that I had no grounds on filing a complaint on an officer with 30 years experience and would not hear any more from me. That I was at fault because I was droping off my son where I was not supposed to that I needed to wait in line. I understad all of the school rules and I was no where near that zone. I was in a parking lot/drive way going back to my car that was parked properly in a parking space. How else does he expect me to get back to my car. He exited the room giving me his name, he said he was giving me his name so that I can go and file my law sute. I was very shocked to here that from him and told him that it was never my intention to file any kind of law sute against anyone. The police report states that I ran infront of the vehicle and that she hit me with the extreme right front bumper. That statement is completely incorrect, I am very pregnant and big and can barely waddle much less run. I did not run infront of the vehicle I was already past the drive way there was no need for me to run. I was by the parked cars walking up towards my vehicle so my back was turned to her front side of her vehicle. She basically hit me from behind. All I wanted was to notify officer Gambrell that his inacurate or incompetance way of wording or completing an accident report affects the victim directly.insurance companies make their decisions based on the police reports and he did everything possible to make me at fault and free the person at fault of any kind of liability.
