My husband and I were looking for a puppy. We came across Fran Withers website. The name of it was DYNASTY
AUSSIES. We told her we were interested in a puppy from her upcoming litter. Fran had convinced me that with a baby I will want Myng. A 6 month old pup that supposedly was high energy and came from a champion bloodline. SHe also told us that we were getting a great deal due to all of the training she said she put into the dog. I told fran from our 1st phone conversation that I would send her the online app. She insisted that it was not necessary. I told her id have to discuss this
with my partner and get back to her. Then, my partner gave her a call. After asking a series of questions she told him that we would have to fill out an app. ALso that she would not sell us a pup. SHe said its her policy to not sell a pup to any family with a baby in it. Which was wierd because that is why she pitched the idea of Myng in the first place. SHe was looking for a person to co. Own Myng with and I thought the whole idea sounded interesting and it would give me the chance to learn more about breeding. SHe wrote out a contract that pretty much said that wed be buying th pup, would have to micro chip the dog, and would have to breed her atleast twice. We would recieve 150$ per pup from Myngs litter. And if
we bred her a third time we'd get a free pup. When we asked another dog breeder about the contract she was very
skeptical. But the experience this lady said shed share with us seemed worth it. SHe said shed show the dog for free if we took her to any dog shows in the area. ALso, that we could come meet Myng at a show in Kalamazoo, MI @8am on Saturday the 13th. SHe said wed have to pay for the dog in cash or a money order. So me, my husband and our 9 month old daughter wake up at 4 am to begin a 3 hour drive to Kalamazoo, MI. Upon our arrival we passed many "mini austrailianshaperds", that were beautiful and with everyone we had hoped it would be ours. Too bad when we found Fran the dog, Myng, was a gastly mess! SHe was so skinny that it felt gross to pet her. Nothing but skin and bones that stuck out. Fran wanted me to pet her and so she gave me a handful of treats to give Myng. Even with having a handful of treats the dog didnt want to come by me. The dog hid behind fran. WHen I did pet her she was shaking and peeing on the ground. My partner saw the dog pee and asked fran why. Fran began stuttering and saying that it probably wasnt the dog and that it
couldve been anything. So she lied, RED FLAG! Fran was there with a young girl who had a beautiful aussie. The young girl was somehow related to fran and was supposedly showing the dog she had. I wanted to hang around and make sure the dog wasnt right. My partner wanted to leave right away and wouldnt even pet the dog. Fran showed us the training she put into the dog, but all we actually saw was the dog disobey her owner. It was appauling. We wanted to leave at that point, but found it hard to tell fran. So fran suggested we walk around a bit. WHile walking we asked her if she already showed Myng, she said no. Her story had changed. SHe told us shed be showing Myng, as she said shes shown Myng in dog shows before. But now she said the girl was the one showing her dog, not Myng. Fran had prior told us that Myng has placed high
in dog shows prior and assureds us that Myng was champion quality. We walked to with fran to her vehicle where she said she had to check out the dog showing times. We got to the vehicle and when she opened her trunk Myng jumped right in and wouldnt come out. Fran kept trying to get the dog to come by us and behave with treats galour. The dog would jump at every quick movement from people dogs, cars and also act spooked about other dogs just barking. She was even scared of our baby! SHe didnt listen to fran at all. It was obvious to us that the dog had been abused in some way.By the looks of her weight the dog was starved. Myngs coat was all scraggily and not soft and shiny at all. Quite opposite of the dog we saw
online. The picture of the dog online was beautiful. This dog was mangey and obviously not breeding or champion quality. Fran showed us a folder with myngs papers in it and all it had was a bunch of papers that had no interesting information and couldve been typed up on her computer at home. Fran had told us in a previoud email that it was for the dogs safety to get it micro chipped and thta it was inexpensive. But why wouldnt she have done it when the pup was born? We asked where the dogs awards were andn she said she left them at home in the garage. RED FLAG #who knows how many? Then fran decides she wants to go and look for dog shampoo, so we go with. Myng will not leave her side and is a clumsy walker. The whole time we are walking together she talks to the girl and not us. Everything the two of them talk about
sounds scripted. After she grabs shampoo, we go back to her vehicle. Fran is now trying to get Myng to take to chuck. WIth no luck, myng hides and refuses to exit the vehicles trunk. The girl takes a call and asks fran if she wants to go out for breakfast. Then, fran asks us! I told her NO and that we came for the dog, not breakfast. Then she agrees this meeting is about the dog. What are these people trying to pull? They obviously dont want our mind on the dog! Oh and earlier when fran showed us the paper work she also said we could pay for myng, keep her for 2 weeks and if theres a problem, we could return her. But fran wouldve had to keep the contract until after the 2 week period so she didnt just have contracts
floating around wih her name on them! Red flag! So then the girl was going to go to breakfast with someone and so they had us walk with them to a meeting spot and with in seconds the guy was there. It was almost too quick, like a set up. Then fran wanted my partner to walk myng. The whole time he had myng she was peeing and shaking scared. Also clumsy. Then when my partner came back fran wanted me to take the dog, so i gave py patrner our child. I was quite prepared to walk the dog with my purse but fran insisted on taking it. Then when i came back she suggested we both take the dog for a walk. She would hang onto my purse. I left the cash in the car, 1300$ was the asking price, so i didnt care if she had my purse. It was filled with diapers! I walked with my partner for thirty seconds just to see hwo we should tell this women
ABSOLUTELY NO, we are not buying this dog. We both agreed that you couldnt pay us to take this dog! WHen we
turned around she was nowhere to be seen. After walking around a bit we spotted her. I got my purse back form her and told her we werent interested in the dog. SHe said thanks for coming out and I said "thank you for wasting our time!" SHe said "NO PROBLEM!" SHe didnt want to know why or fight us on the fact that the dog was clearly demented. After leaving we had high anxiety and sympathy for the dog. I didnt mention above that the more time we spent with fran and the dog the more overly aggressive she got with the dog. If the dog wasnt listeningto her she would get really adjetated. The whole ordeal probably took an hour and a half, but there was alot of time and energy put into conversations prior and driving. I kept crying just thinking of how we had been lied to. We had to bring our 9 month old through this experience.
We spent a total of 7 hours in the car there and back. My whole family was crushed. And now I cant even post a review on google about her dogs, because its just an address. But my partner did post a review about her old place in Georgia. If you google her name theres a few interesting pdfs on her and her dog dwelling. I wish i wouldve taken pictures of the dog, but i had left the camera in the car. Prior to our meeting fran had asked wether we had a video camera. She probably wouldnt
have shown up if we did, is what we are thinking.
