It was during the summer when this guy approached us telling us we could save on our gas bill. And it we would see some real savings during the winter time when most of us use gas the most. It seemed like a deal at the time, I read his brochure and there was nothing on it that suggested anything wrong or shifty about it. The guy even gave us his badge number. Talked to someone on the cellphone. Said we would be able to talk to them to make sure he had done everything right, etc, etc, etc.
If anyone contacts me concerning this, I will try to find all the paperwork we recieved in the transaction.
Well, now here it is the end of December and I get a bill from Consumers stating they are charging me a distribution charge of 45.03 for 22.0 MCF @ 2.047 plus a 9.00 gas customer charge. For a total of 54.03
There is this paragraph under that.
In accordance with Michigan Public Service Commission Order U-15506 on Dec 23, natural gas rates have been increased about 80 cents per month for the typical residential customer. The increase is included in the Customer Charge and Distribution Charge.
Now for the Univeral Gas & Electric contribution to this lovely little bill.
