When I first moved into Remington Hills Apartments in Fort Worth, I had to fill in a sheet listing every defect in the aprtment. Subsequently, absolutely none of the defects were fixed in the year I lived there.
After I moved, I inquired where my deposit was, and they responded it was used up in water charges.
In fact, they even sent me a bill for water and electric charges to the apartment AFTER my lease was up and I moved out.
It was a small amount ($154) so I paid it to them with a money order simply to get a "divorce." They reminded me in their final "bill" that if this was not taken care of within 30 days they would report it to a credit bureau and give it to a collection agency. I paid, because I never wanted to hear the name "Remington Hills" again.
3 months later, I get a call from a collection agency. I call Remington Hills and they say they won't even talk to me... Talk to the collection company!" was there reply.
I sent a copy of the money order stub. Which had been cashed 3 months earlier by Remington Hills. THIS shut them up. But I was affronted about Remington Hills arrogant attitude in the face of an error by them... Especially for such a lousy apartment.
Thumbs down!
