At a preliminary hearing, another Judge informed me that I would be allowed to question witnesses and testify at an upcoming trial involving a restraining order. That never happened. At the trial, Butte County Superior Court Judge Steven McNelis never gave me a chance to defend myself. The trial was scheduled for half a day. We were done in approximately 20 minutes. The Judge based his decision on one piece of evidence. I feel like I was screwed.
