I received a letter in the mail on 7/5 stating i was over paid afdc 26 years ago when i had my daughter at the age of 16, and now they want me to pay back 875.00 to them for a company agent error, i remember they only gave me 127.00 a month to take care of a new born, thank god i have wonderful parents and they helped me with everything. So, now my daughter is 26 and me and her daddy are married and have been for almost 23 years now and he is disabled only getting 623.00 a month ssi and i can not work due to having to take care of him he has rsd, so where does this leave us standing? It is very true when they say the poor keeps getting poorer. They are threatning me that they are gonna take his ssi check for back payment owed when it was a company agent that did it, NOT MY FAULT, i think they should have to eat it.
