This agency took my grandchildren from my daughter because of domestic violence. Since then they have lied on my daughter, harasssed her to the point of a nervous breakdown, withheld information about her childrens health, turned their heads to neglegent foster parents, and withhold services to help the mother regain her children. These people hold closed court room hearings, so that no one can see how they violate your rights. They give information that is fabricated or manipulated to make the judge believe things that are not true. The client has a court appointed attorney who usually seems to be on the side of DCF and will not allow you to talk nor will speak for you.
This agency has got to be stopped or there will be a whole generation of children who do not know their heritage. I was an adopted child and I can tell you that oftimes an adopted child goes "from the fying pan to the skillet". Money tends to blind people and because a family may have financial resourses does not mean that down the road they will be a better parent. Parents that are having their children removed can many times be benefited by help from this department, rather than sabatoging these families for the sake of providing jobs for foster parents.
This State does not want to help families with children anymore but would rather pay 3 times more to pay strangers to raise other peoples children. This is inhumane. We are humans, not animals. Children should not be taken from mothers and sold off to the highest bidders as DCF is currently doing.
I have written my President about this situation and will continue to make noise until someone hears.
