A young charming man named Cody came to my door yesterday afternoon claiming he was a part of a nation wide contest. He claimed there are 20 individuals participating in this contest traveling to 12 different states targeting small towns. The winner of this contest gets to choose from 3 different places in Europe to visit. So since he seemed so nice I decided to purchase a magazine subscription from him for my children. After him leaving I got to looking at the recipe and there was no contact information on it what so ever. I immediately went to the computer and typed into google.com the company name "FNT Inc." he had me fill the check out to and that's where the scam warnings started popping up. I immediately called the local Sheriff's Department the man was caught but later released on the fact that that they didn't have enough evidence to hold him. Regardless of what the internet said the Better Business Bureau the news papers and all the obvious. I pretty much thought that was a joke but whatever. So the man and he's accomplice are back at it... So beware.
