The sheriffs department was called to help me get my son to a hospital. He had been sick for a long time and this day he was having a mental breakdown. The deputies ignore our request to hospitalize him or baker act him as we requested. They attacked my son leaving cuts and bruises over his entire body. They used a taser on his kidney after they had him down. Three cops held him down and used a stun gun on him. They dragged him to the car and when he got one foot on the ground trying to stand up, the deputy stepped in front of him and tripped him causing him to fall and at the same time he yelled that my son had kicked him.
I was begging them to stop, I told them my son was mentally and physically sick and had been getting worse the that last couple of months. My son has a steel rod and screws in his back from an accident, he has a degenerate bone desease in his neck but that didn't stop them from putting their knees on his neck to hold him down. My son never fought back he just kept trying to get away from them because of the pain they were causing him.
My older son told the deputies that they could break his back the way they were throwing him around but he was told " i don't care". They have changed the report of his arrest form from the original arrest to make it sound worse now that it's going to court. I have sent letters to the judge, prosecuting attorney, I've tried four times to talk to the Sherriff but he won't talk to me. I've sent a fax and e-mail to the Govenor Crist. Now I'm trying to get in touch with internal affairs.
My son is not the first person in this town that has been brutilized by the sheriffs department. My son has been found to have bi-polar with paranoia. We can't afford an real attorney and we know the court appointed attorney will work for the court not my son. Please if any one can help contact me. God bless all of you who are willing to try.
