I am the victim of a violent crime. Steve Patelli is the Assistant States Attorney on my case. For the past year I have been terrorized by 2 females, ran off the side of the road with my children in the car, followed to gas stations, they drive by my house, they call the police on me and lie if I go to town to do anything, they fb me threats of rape and kidnapping me, They send third party threats of killing me and coming to find me, I have gone to Steve Patelli for help about 5 times. He refuses to help me, I have had to go through the court system and file an order of protection on one of the females and a no contact no stalking order on the other female. I have had to call the police a dozen times for them breaking the orders. They tell me to go to the Peoria States Attorneys office, which I do, Steve Patelli has informed me he has better things to do, ppl are odeing on drugs and shooting each other, Steve Patelli refuses to help, He says he has better things to do. One of the females was found in indirect civil contempt for breaking her order, The very same charge I went to ask for his helped and he refused. Today I had court, which I am taking time and money to file papers to get these girls to leave me alone, Jude Galley told me I have a right to have charges pursued for this incident as well. After I left court, I went to the Peoria states Attorneys office to speak to Mr. Patelli once again, He laughed at me told me he wasnt picking up the charges, I told him I would go to the news media, its his job to keep ppl safe, He screamed at me he didnt care if these girls killed me, if we killed each other. He slammed the door, Then I went into hysterics, I am a crime victim who is healing emotionally and physically from a perpatrator who fractured my face in 3 different places and pushed my eye back into my head and gave me a severe concussin, I am seeking counseling at the center for prevention of abuse. I went to the front desk and told the secretaries I wanted to speak to his boss, Steve Patelli then opened up the door and screamed out the spelling of his name and then screamed Jerry Brady is his boss and he isnt happy about this either. I was terrified from him screaming at me. I was shaking and almost passed out. The woman I talked to before when he screamed at me refused to talk to me, and finally Jerry Brady's secretary came out to take my complaint, Steve Patelli was laughing like because I am a citizen I couldnt do anything to him. I explained to the woman all the things that are happening, I have proof the girls are terrorizing me, 1 girl has 2 charges in marshall county where i live for stalking me, the other a contempt charge and possible jail time for this new matter. I explained I will go to the Mayor and news stations and the Journal Star paper, I am not taking time away from my 8 kids to keep filing paper work, driving 45 min to court for my health, these girls are terrorizing me and NONE will help me. For him to scream in my face and tell us to kill each other, is innapropriate and unprofessional. That is his job to protect ppl. I am in there asking for help. He stood over me screaming at me in my face. Laughing at me. What will it take for them to hurt me or one of my children? When is enough enough? These types of ppl get elected to protect us? That is why peoria is the way Peoria is. This States Attorney will not lift a finger until someone is harmed which is what I am trying to prevent, Steve Patelli doesnt care because it isnt happening to him. If it was he wouldnt be laughing.
