On Friday, April 17 I had went to the t mobile store in boston. After waiting over 30 mins to speak to a sales rep. I had spoken to a person named Rob. Who had explained to me that due to being approved only for a flex account, there was only two types of phones that I could get for free with the option of having the payment added with my girlfriend's account (Larraine Lawrence) as a family account. He further stated to me that if i were to accept the t mobile offer, I would be allowed to do so with no money down untill her next billing date (May 11th) then i would have to pay the prorated amount and the following months bill. I told him that the only phone i was interested in was the t mobile tap. He told me that unfortunally the tap was not being offered as a free phone but if i could find the tap offered for free elsewhere, he would match the offer. After finding a free tap offered through Radioshack, I had called him at the store and he told me to come in Monday (today) and things would be as offered, but when I got to the store, I was told that Rob was out sick, and the store manager told me that the offer would not be honored. I then called customer service and after explaining the situation, I was told that because of the promise made, it would be honored. After placing my order for said phone, I was emailed through radioshack and was asked to call them for my free phone. I had called and learned that in order to gain my phone I would have to pay for 1 1/2 months of service up front. This was not the agreement I had made, more than once., only to be told otherwise. I had taken time off work twice to get this settled to no avail. I had explained to customer service to cancle the order so that my girlfriend would not be billed for second phone and stated that I will seek another provider such as sprint for offer, and was told that they are the providers for all major companies and that it will be made clear that my name will be denied for services.
