I am attempting to sell a Clavinova on Craigslist. Ben Dawton stated he was a chief engineer aboard a Fleet Aircraft Carrier and was unable to purchase the instrument in person. He wanted to make the purchase through PayPal. He later stated his pick-up company would not pick the purchased item up without their pick-up fee being received first in the amount of $950.00. Ben was going to send me money through Paypal for the price of the instrument and additional money for me take out to wire his pick-up person ($950.00). He stated he had no way to wire the money due to his job being out in the middle of the ocean and he would not return for quite some time. Thankfully I did not send any money to him. I became suspicious when I saw how much it was costing to ship the Clavinova. What Ben was willing to pay me plus the cost of shipping was almost what I paid for a brand new instrument. Also the pick-up company name was a female named Jessica Harvey. I was looking for a moving company name not an individual female name. Ben also stated the pick-up person was driving all the way from TX to pick up the instrument which happens to be hundreds of miles from my residence. I hope these 2 people are caught before they have the chance to scam another innocent person.
