I received a total of 3 emails so far from [email protected]; alexandra. [email protected] and [email protected] all with the same message stating Mrs. Christina Lewis has chosen to leave $10,000, 000.00 to me in her will because she is dying of cancer. I have received fraudulent emails in the past of this nature. However, I find this one particularly disgusting because whomever is generating these messages is doing it using the name of God. Stating that she wants to pass this money along to me so I can use it to do God's will. Additionally, whomever created this message also created an eerie description of a woman suffering and dying of cancer. It is reprehensible that someone would not only use cancer but the name of God to mislead unsuspecting people and persuade them to provide their personal information. I speculate that anyone who attempts to collect this $10 million dollars and provides their personal banking information will have their accounts drained of all available funds or possibly something even worse. I suggest that anyone who has received this email, contact their local police department. Specifically, forward this information to the e-mail fraud taskforce or team. You can call your local police departments non-emergency line and find out exactly who the report should be directed to. It is my sincere wish that no one has provided this person with any of their personal information as I am certain this is a scam. I hope that collectively, we can report as many instances of this fraud to our respective local officials and they will take measures to catch, prosecute and punish whomever is doing this to the fullest extent of the law, especially if they have stolen funds from someone unsuspecting. Please BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!
