I received a check for $2400. Was told to deposit in my checking account and call for assignments. The bank was observant enough to see this check was a fraud. The letter I received had the correct address but the wrong state and was postmarked from Canada for a company in New York. Also the check was from a credit union in Michigan. Logically I knew this was a scam but emotionally this gives you optimism.
