A young man came to our door, identified himself as working to gain a college education by selling subscriptions to magazines and books offered through Millenium Sales. He added that his "points" were accumulating, but that he would be deeply grateful for any subscription purchase. He added that if I paid for the magazine or book in cash, his points would double for this sale. I paid the man $30.59 and expect to receive a children's book by mail.
Instead of receiving the book I have received a bill for an additional $26.17.
I do not want to pay anything further, as I didn't really want the book, and am afraid it is going to be a further scam.
The young man made no mention of an outstanding balance and now I am afraid if I don't pay my credit rating will be damaged.
