We lost power during hurricane sandy and 8 days since the hurricane no power has been restored to our area - I live in Elmont and have been given to understand that Elmont is last on their list of priorities., We have not seen a single LIPA truck on our block since the day Sandy hit. We do not have any downed trees or power lines on our block. Have been watching their outage map and not a single crew has been assigned to our area. It is absolutely disgraceful to see that they are unable to quickly handle areas with minimal problems and then concentrate their energies on the areas that need maximum assistance. They need to be held responsible for this unbelievably inefficient response. Our community needs some help here!!!
