The very same thing has happened to my husband and I. We were asked for a down payment of the $1300 starting in June & $600 per month since then. We sent in tons of papers that they requested and a month would go by before we would hear anything again. Then we were asked to send more. Then we started getting the run around that they did not receive something so we would fax it again. Numerous calls and emails were sent to Louisa Martinez and Ana Gomes. Weeks would go by before we would get any response only to be told once again that they are still waiting on more paperwork from us. We were told that they were in negotiation with your mortgage company and that we should not have any contact with our mortgage company ourselves. We talked to our mortgage company today and there is NO RECORD whatsoever of ANY negotiation. We have been getting the run around with numbers to call and have found that they go by Consumer First Legal Network, LLC and Consumer First Legal Group. All things match to Harold E. Stafford at the address 8253 Mayo Drive, Suite 309, Madison, Wisconsin. Because of all of this our house is in foreclosure. We have three children, and are on pins and needles now on how long we are still going to have our home. This is all we have. We are now out of $3130.00 paid to them and $10,000 in past due on our mortgage. They told us from the start not to have contact with our mortgage company and not to pay the mortgage because it would interfere with negotiations.
