I own a 3 family in worcester Ma. Nstar had turned the gas off on two water heaters and two heating systems because they said the detected a leak. I hired a licensed plumber who did the repair and had it signed off by the plumbing inspector. It has been 4 days and they still have not come back to turn the gas on. My tenants have small children in the house and have been staying in a hotel paid by me. I have repeatedly called the gas company to come back out but they say they will get there when they get there. I find it repulsive that they can hold me hostage without recourse. I am struggling to make ends meet and the cost of housing my tenants has created such a financial burden on me. It should be outlawed that Nstar can act as a monopoly without repercussions because they dont believe not having heat or hot water when its freezing out isnt an emergency. I think notifying the attorney general will be my next course of action if this is not resolved today.
