Christy's Talent Agency. When they first came to Winnipeg they had an ad in the newspaper looking for people who wanted an exciting life in acting. I answered the ad by calling the number and they had me come down and fill out their forms. They had a class for "Set etiquette." The class cost was $100 which was additional from their sign up fee. After that they had an open call for parts in a movie and needed pictures and more forms. At this call when it was my turn i was told to my face that i would make a good "Bush pilot or a bum on the street." They said this because i had a beard down to the middle of my chest. Nothing ever came of the movie and i don't remember hearing anything about this movie being shot in and around Winnipeg. When i first signed up i was told that i would be used four times a year if not more. I was unemployed at the time all this happened and i could not afford the money so i borrowed from my inlaws and paid back at a later date. Going to them more than once for money was not only embarassing but useless because not once did they phone about a job only for more classes, that cost from $100-$350 for meeting a director.
