Alamo Car Rentals
Fraudulent rental car damage charges. - Chevy Aveo

I picked up an Alamo rental car at the Las Americas airport Santa Domingo Dominican Republic, on May 31st 2011. Right before they're closing time on June first, a government public transportation drivers scraped the car while trying to squeeze between me and the curb. He was at fault. I had guaranteed the car with my American Express card, not knowing that that's Pacific card did not have the usual rental insurance. I return the car to the downtown office immediately after the collision. The Dominicans refused to give me a single piece of paper work for the return and would not accept payment for the days rental. I found out much later that the local Alamo employees receive used to track down the drivers who caused damage and inflated the repair costs, which included photos of the car before was repaired. It is unwashed and streaks of obvious black magic marker have been used to make fake damage on parts the car that were not involved in the collision. It is in fact impossible for the kind of sideswipes with a sedans bumper, for 2 outside scraped have occured on the front fender and rear fender. They also charge to repaint the front bumper in the rear bumper, while the actual damage is a scrape along the lower part of each of the right hand doors and a small dent in the rear part of the front fender.in other words the Santa Domingo alamo employees scammed my credit card. Almost central office for all of the time since I discovered this cam has refused to do anything about this. They tell me only that since I signed up piece of paper with a blank space acknowledging get there was damage on the right side the car, that third office can charge me anything they want. Straight forward fraud, and I have a photo of the actual damage minutes after the guy scraped my rental car with his little taxi. Alamo customer service has told me that they don't have to pay any attention to the fact of the doctored photos, to the fact that I have the license plate and photo of the man who caused the damage and they don't have to pay attention to the fact that this is obviously a rip off. Credit card company would not defend me. I have paid an estimate percentage of be scammed amount, 410 dollars, while trying to get Alamo to be honest and refund the other 495 dollars that was fraudulent charges, the front bumper, the rear bumper, the front and rear parts of the 2 fenders.
