On 9/19 i went to Talkdress.org and placed an order for a homecoming dress for my daughter. Before submitting the order i triple checked that the order was correct with correct order # for the dress purchasing and that the information for the the measurements for the dress were correct as well. The total order was $112.99. I paid extra $10 to have the dress made in 5 business days and I paid an extra $20 dollars to have the dress shipped UPS, Fed Ex etc in 3-5 business days. The website says that the order is checked for color and size before it placed to be shipped out to the customer. Obviously this did not happen or the item that I received would be the item that I ordered and paid for. It also says on the website that if the order is received and found to be incorrect that you must let them know within 2 days of receiving the order. I called the same day that the order was received. I first contacted live chat and talked to a lady who said that once the order is received and there are any problems with that order you must the contact the business email listed as [email protected] to contact their customer service department and again she said you want to do this within 2 days of receiving the shipment. As soon as I talked to live chat, I then sent the message to the customer service department. Live chat had told me it takes 8 hours for them to respond to the email. I did receive an email back asking for the order number or email address used to make the purchase so that they could locate the order for verifiction of what was purchased. Then I received another emil asking for pictures of what the dress looked like that was shipped. I did one better. I sent a picture of the dress shipped and also had saved the picture of the dress ordered, so I also included for them the picture of the dress ordered. On the website it says that any problems contact them and they will take care of it, live chat also told me that they would take care of it so just contact customer service. After several days of going back and forth with customer service and I feel I am not getting anywhere with this matter. All they keep saying is that I would have to pay to return the item and they do not feel that this would be worth it, which they say would cost around $50 US dollars to return the dress. Well on the website it says if I would have purchased something and then for no reason at all just decided to return the item then I would pay for shipping. I can undertand that situation. This is not the case. I wanted the dress that I ordered for my daughter's homecoming which is on October 6th, I had no intentions what so ever of returning the dress. I am wanting the item that I paid for and purchased. This is completely a different situation. I am not just wanting to return the dress, their company did not send me the dress that I ordered and paid for, so in return if they want the dress back that they sent out incorrectly than they should pay for it to be shipped back to them and can send me a return shipping label. Then she told me that she cannot break policy of the return because that would not be fair to other customers. I at this point could care less about what it may do in the future. They need to fullfill there obligation by giving me what I paid for or giving me a full refund immediately. I do not feel that I am asking for anything from this company except what I paid for and ordered and that is my right as a consumer. They cannot tell me that if this situation was turned around and happened to them that they would not be asking for this t be resolved in the same manner. I even exlained to the lady in this last email that I had all intentions of contacting my bank about this purchase and contacting the better business bureau about their fradulent business practices.
