I purchased my Honda 90 HP -4 stroke engine from your Dealer, Mitchell Marine, Inc, 370 Davis Rd, Lagrange, GA 30241 on April 25. I was told that it had a 5 year warranty.• – Per your website – “Yes, you read that right. All new Honda Marine outboard motors purchased for recreational use from an authorized Honda Marine dealer will be warranted against defects in material or workmanship for five (5) years from date of purchase. No catches. No strings. It’s that simple.”When I contacted you a year ago, July 18, I thought it should still be under warranty. The boathad been in the dealer’s shop for a month and a half – June 4th to July16th. I never received a response, but I had the boat winterized by one of your dealers, Marietta Marine, and stored it for the winter. This spring I took it into the same dealer on June 4to have it checked before using it for the summer and was informed it had not been “winterized” properly and the carburetors would have to be rebuilt. I had this done again this year, getting the boat and motor back on June 19.By this time, the boat has spent more time in the shop than on the water. Now the boat again won’t run. My conclusion is that: Honda will not Honor their warranty. Honda products are inferior. Honda dealers are in competent. I again request a written response to my correspondence.
