My mother just received the card this week... She did not want the card, so proceeded to contact the company in order to cancel or discontinue any further processing. However, before we were able to cancel the card... The company had already processed the bank payments (WITHOUT NOTICE OR APPROVAL) and taken money out of her account (she is on a fixed-income and isn't very knowledgeable of such practices).
She can't afford to pay these fees and did not want the card. We went to the local police department and filed fraud papers, as well as, to her bank IMMEDIATELY to begin reversing this damage to her (now negative) account.
This company is preying on the low-income and unfortunate elderly demographic. I am utterly upset that this is allowed to happened. THIS IS A SCAM and it must be stopped IMMEDIATELY!
