On August 28 at Mi Tortilla restaurant in Riverside, CA, Darren Parkerson accepted $18,500 in cash from me to set up an off shore account. He promised it would be completed by September 5. On August 29, I requested my money returned because this didn't feel right. He told me that he would not return the money. The account was not set up as promised and on September 13, he requested more information from me called "due diligence." This was the first time I received this request. I explained that since they missed the promised deadline, I no longer trusted him or his company (1-800Companies.com) and would not be sending any more money for this account. I requested my money back again. This time he told me it was my fault account hadn't been set up because I failed to submit due diligence. I requested he send an itemized list of how my money has been allocated for this account. He refused. I requested my money back again. He refused. I told him I would be contacting an attorney. He told me that is fine but it will not help me.
