Warranty Direct
Consumer Report

This company does not follow the contract at all! I heard a noise coming from the back of my car so I took it to the Mazda Dealership (14 August) (which it just had been inspected by 2 weeks prior and I was told nothing was wrong with it) and they gave me some crap about and oil pan. So I took it to an Import Mechanic shop (23rd-24th of August) who told me that the noise was coming from my transmission and they didn't work on transmissions. So that day I drop it off at Bill's Transmission (24 August) and he informed me that on the test drive my clutch fell apart and my transmission has a problem. That day I gave them the contact information for Warranty Direct (the contract says they don't cover clutches but they do transmissions); this was on a Friday.
If you never dealt with Warranty Direct they use contractors who are supposedly given up to 48hrs to go to check your vehicle and put in the claim. Well after a couple days of hearing the mechanic tell me he's waiting on Warranty Direct to come to shop before figuring out what's wrong with my transmission, I called Warranty Direct to see what was the hold up. I was informed that the contractor was suppose to be there no later than Wednesday (28th). On Thursday (29th) I call the mechanic and again he says he's still waiting on the Warranty Company to look at the transmission. Again I call Warranty Direct and they say my mechanic just put in the clam's on Thursday and the guy will be there Saturday (1 Sept). On the 4th of September I get a call from the Transmission Mechanic and he tells me my claim was denied. I call Warranty Direct and am told that I got denied because I was racing and neglecting my car (saying that I knew there was a problem and I continued to drive it). That my clutch had taken out my transmission and they were not going to cover this claim.
First off I own a Mazda RX-8, yes it is a sports car but no I have not, nor would I ever race this car. It is my only form of transportation and it costs way too much to fix so to purposely brake it is ridiculous. I take this car into the shop monthly for repairs and to check checked out, so saying I neglect my car is aggravating to me. I told them this and told them I have receipts to prove that it was just inspected and I was informed there were no issues, but they don't care and blew me off and kept saying my clutch took out my transmission. Well I had my car towed to AAMCO that day to get another opinion and AAMCO tried to talk to Warranty Direct stating the facts that my car is in great condition and with the issues they see the transmission (bearing and shaft) took out my clutch not the other way (what they said). They explained to Warranty Direct that the clutch would come apart and the car would not even been able to move let alone take out the transmission in the condition that it was in. Nothing was wrong with my clutch when I drove it to any of the previous mechanics and it was replaced less than 2 years to this event. But Warranty Direct just wants your money, they are not honorable, have any integrity, nor do they respect you or any contract. Warranty Direct has no problems with taking your money and scamming you. They also say that the Better Business Bureau rated them an "A " that's a lie, they have over 175 complaints against them. If you still are thinking about using them heck out the following websites:
