I am a carer & don't get away that often. My friend Maxine Post & I booked a 3 day cruise on the Pacific Jewel & were told we were sailing up the east coast as far as Brisbane. I was told this by a P & O telephone staff member. I of course packed for warm weather. The ship ended up near Jervis Bay, which is south of Sydney, so subsequently I froze my tits off throughout the first day & a half. Sunday was a lovely day & really enjoyed the sunshine on deck. Because of our interest in the cruise, there were another 10 people who travelled with us, thinking we were heading to warmer waters. I now know I should have packed with more thought, but would liked to have been informed prior to cruising that we were heading south to cold weather. Many people on this cruise were also advise we were heading north. We loved the service we received by all staff, but for future cruising, which we are looking to book over next 2 months, can we possibly find out exactly where we are heading. This only applies to the short break cruises, but forwarned is most helpful.
