I (some how, I can not remember how) came upon the Ziinga website, was offered 4 free bids - which I took. I won an ipod shuffle, and paid for the delivery of it. I did not receive any confirmation email, but did check each day for a few days later. I then forgot all about it. - To my error.
It was not until I received notification by my bank that a payment of 59.99 had gone through my account, that this whole situation arose, and I then remembered about biding on the ipod.
I have since been in touch with ziinga via many emails. I am told that it was in print that I'd signed up for membership for 7 day free membership, when I paid for the delivery. And that this was confirmed in an email. It now seems I am tied in to a 3 month membership at £59.99 per month, or pay £35 to get out of the membership.
I explained that Ive NOT received the ipod shuffle, so feel that they have broken the contract, this is part of their reply to one of my emails when I asked where is the ipod
"The reason why you did not receive it is because you were unable to send the documents as proof since we do have a one gift per household policy, which you need to confirm by sending the following documents."
What document I have no idea? They are now not replying to me emails!
I would accept this option of £35 cancelation IF I'd received the ipod shuffle, but at the moment I have paid £59.99 for nothing!
