This is an online auction site. I bid for an ipod shuffle for $6 and won it. I was then asked for credit card detail to pay for it which I did. All that was offered was a 7 day free platinum membership. When I received my emailed receipt at the bottom was terms and conditions stating that on payment I had committed myself to a monthly membership fee of $89.95.
I emailed them to advise that I did not want the membership and wanted to cancel the entire transaction and was told that I had acceepted the terms on payment of the article. They now want $42 cancellation fee and won't send the product unless I provide a scan of my ID documents including a copy of my credit card back and front.
I have blocked my credit card and am going to apply for a replacement card.
