I purchased a watch for my sister online from August Steiner. She loved the watch but quickly noticed that it would randomly stop working. She had the battery replaced ($20 that I did not include in the monetary damages). The problem persisted and she was told that it was a faulty gear. I contacted the company to report this and they said there was nothing they could do. No explanation, I was just told that they would not cover the cost of the repair ($70.06) for the faulty gear. This is frustrating considering their guarantee online boasts: "Fine quality and affordable watches is what we aim for with a guarantee behind our products." I am not impressed with this service and the lack of professionalism in telling me that they could not do anything to help.
